Anyone know the base car yet? The exhaust manifold is a bat!

We have a contender with the Barris Kustom Futura (1966) and the Furst Impala V8 (1989) I think. YAY!

Not sure if I had to guess I'd say it was an older challenger. Hard to tell from these angles.

For all those saying that it reminds you of the 66 Batmobile, can I ask how so? Cause outside "it's a car" I don't see the resemblance.

^^ Literally no one has said that in this thread.

Anyway, looks great! I like that they went with a car this time!

James McAvoy would make a nice Mr J in future installments

I know it was said in one of the threads here talking about this movie, so rather than track down which one I posted in both. I'm too lazy to search, not a big deal.

Batmobile from the older movies make no sense. Car is too damn long and looked like an airplane. Woulda heard that **** from a mile away.. I like this and I'm sure just like the suit the car will evolve over the course of a trilogy to something more original. I can see a scene in the movie where Beuce and Alfred roll up theyre sleeves and start customizing an old challenger that probaly has some emotional significance to bruce. Further down the line maybe we get an original car made from scratch

It definitely has the 70s muscle car vibe but the hood and cabin is a little off to be a Dodge. It has heavy Chevy motifs. I read a news-piece that suggested it's got a C7 or C8 chassis but I don't see that either. I just want to know which custom group handled it to see how easy/hard a build will be.

I said I think it has a shot to be as iconic as the Barris Kustom Futura and Furst Impalla V8 takes, not that it looks like either. It's a cool looking car.

Yea I dont know enough about cars to say. With my lame eye I see retro muscle car and my mind says challenger but yea I couldnt even say why. So yea if you figure it out let me know cause I'm curious. Again though wont be surprised if we get to see the base model they used in the movie and then Alfred and Bruce customize it and add the bat motiff.

Is this movie gonna be a period peice? Or are they gonna have modern tech?

You know....this is the first I've heard that idea....I really like that.

The vibe of this movie has me pretty excited. It feels grittier, grungier, less polished. That's how I like my Bats.

McAvoy made a nice Xavier. He is a very versatile actor from watching Days of Future Past, Split and Atonement. He has voiced a likeness for more gritter comic movies. I see Mr J in his future. I will place him as one of the actors who could fully embody the Joker Mark Hamill voiced in the animated series.

There's a shot in split where his face is framed like a panel, just recolor the skin and there ya go

Not a huge fan of the new Batmobile. I am excited to see more set pics.
