Ha! Yeah Jean has been my favorite character since I was a kid. While all my friends “grew out” of their favorite comicbook characters, I stood faithful. I even co-administrate a Jean Grey page on FB and an X-Men page where I constantly post all Jean Grey updates.

Regarding the last statement, perhaps this means that Jean's "permanent Phoenix union" will remain intact after the events in Phoenix Resurrection & during X-Men Red. Seems evidence enough that she may indeed retain the powers of the Phoenix after PR concludes.

To be honest the evidence that Jean is Phoenix but without the iconography keeps mounting.

There's no reason that she has to have the Phoenix imagery ALL THE TIME. I came up with a way to have Jean not constantly OP while still Phoenix a while back, maybe they're doing something similar.

Also, Jim Cheung posted this suspiciously Phoenixy pic of Jean on Instagram earlier (could he possibly be working on interiors for a future issue of X-Men Red?) The orange hue screams Phoenix to me & if you look in the left-hand corner, it kinda looks like a fiery power-effect. I could be just clutching at straws here but it could hold some promise.

I'm not sure if it's yellow or just off-white. Sketch paper tends to be offwhite.

I think that this is a cover, and that that's Gentle to her right. I'd love if he did an arc though.
