The fact that Marvel is actively promoting this gives me hope that Jean Grey will return to prominence in a way we haven't seen in nearly two decades. With Fox and Disney merging, the timing couldn't be better. In terms of powerful female characters, Jean Grey checks all the right boxes and doesn't have to be smug about it. Phoenix Resurrection might very well be the catalyst Jean needs to ascend to the upper tier of Marvel. And it may very well start next week.

Love this picture. It feels like something ripped right from the comics, which is the exact opposite of what X3 did. You can't have a decent Phoenix Saga without the Cyclops/Jean romance. The fact that Fox isn't avoiding that like they did before gives me hope that this movie will deliver.
