Sounds like an excuse for the writer to keep the character but lose all her history.
If it was post-Flashpoint, I wouldn't blame them not wanting to have to figure out what did or didn't happen previously.

I don't think Justice League: Generation Lost ever gets enough love. I loved that series and the way it teased a new series at the end had me really exicted. Of coarse then we got the Nu52 Justice League International book which was garbage and broke my heart.

I love generation lost!

To start off JLI is one of my favorite series of comics of all time. I pick out issues and read them all the time. Honestly I was first introduced to Max Lord as a bad guy. I bought that Countdown to Infinite Crisis book (cover by Alex Ross and Jim Lee, two of the very few creators at the time that I knew their names, other than Stan Lee and Frank Miller-- and I thought Jim Lee was Stan Lee's son, I was young , and it was like 80 pages for a dollar and had Superman and Batman and Wonder Woman and tons of characters! The point is they really wanted you to buy this book) and I wasn't familiar with Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Max Lord and a lot of the characters. So I read it and I fall in Love with Blue Beetle, go back and read the JLI run and absolutely love it. Maxwell Lord being a bad guy later on didn't effect my enjoyment of the old stories at all because I understood the intention of the character wasn't meant to be bad it was just something that changed years later.

How does everyone feel about the whole evil Max Lord and all that stuff? Gotta say, he was great in Generation Lost and that OMAC book.

I mean things were different with new52 erasing the history, but there's no reason it still could have been a great book if Dan Jurgens hadn't decided to break up the core team (*again*) and stick in a bunch of characters he actually wanted to write about.
