I'd put Secret Wars 1984 above COIE (a series let down by Marv Wolfman's famously poor ear for dialogue), and the DC superhero stuff.

I'd add Tom King's VISION.

I'd add Tom King's VISION.

1) George Perez's art was superior to Mike Zeck's.

2) Marv Wolfman's writing, while was a bit all over the place (see my Part One segment to see my criticisms) Jim Shooter was utterly wrong regarding some of the Avengers and the X-Men. Also the use of The Wrecking Crew was just lazy; there were so many Spider Man villains they could has used instead.

3) I didn't read King's Vision because with comics having at least a $3.99 price tag these days I've grown far less adventurous. Based on his work on Batman, however, I'm not all that impressed with his writing. Maybe someday if I find a friend who has a copy I might give it a try but I'll never pay for it.

Zeck's art is plenty brillaint for the story

I didn't read King's Vision because with comics having at least a $3.99 price tag these days I've grown far less adventurous.

You can loan it from any public library (where membership is free) for free.

You can get all this and more at your public library, or if you are part of an university, via Interlibrary Loan.

You can also find this at Marvel Unlimited.

I float between both myself.

In addition to maxi-series, Marvel also put out excellent OGN (Original Graphic Novels) such as God Loves, Man Kills, Triumph and Torment, Emperor Doom to name a few.

Sure no maxi-series Marvel did is Watchmen but what is.

Marvel Unlimited is your friend, considering you get access to over 25,000 comics. Work out the price per issue.
