Was this before they both became heroes or something? How did they know each other?

Well Clark was already Superboy, but yes before Hal (Harold) Jordan became GL.
They first meet on flight to Coast City in Adventures of Superboy #13
Jordan doesn't know Clark is feigning being afraid to fly, or that he's actually the one holding up the plane.

They agree to meet up again, Hal invites him surfing (above^).

And then again to go Scuba-diving that night.
Jordan in his youth is a bit of an extreme-sport junkie, kind of makes sense.

...where they of course have a run in with smugglers on a submarine.

...and ends with Superboy having some advice for Jordan.

Vid Toy Aisle Alliance Super Friends specific collection.
It's funny in light of the previous page he also struggles with the order, and random packaging of the DVDs.

From the DCU classics figures line he's obviously still missing the Flash, he could also include the Hawks, Green Arrow, and the Atom who all at some point appeared on the show. -

And the DCU Super Friends specific sculpted in Alex Toth style figures he's referencing-

Also if you are a fan the Retro Megos Figures Toy Company has a line of Super Friends and LEGION OF DOOM themed figures - https://community.cbr.com/showthread...=1#post3989247

Thanks for posting that Guicho! It was fun seeing young "Harold" in action! Now it makes me wish we had gotten a Hal guest shot on "Smallville" with that *exact* storyline!

Anyone remember an episode in the first season of Super Friends where Superman is taken out by kryptonite and Wonder Woman lassos a rocket and holds it down to stop it from taking off? Or am I imagining all that?

I loved this show so much! I had no concept of time and would sit through endless Bugs Bunny / Road Runner cartoons waiting for Super Friends. I think my finest memory is of watching the Saturday morning preview shows they used to air each year showing the new cartoons. The year they did “Challenge” I was ecstatic!! I think the preview showed Solomon Grundy or someone and I got so excited! It’s hard to grasp now when we have multiple big budget super hero movies but back then, that show meant the world to me.

This Hal Jordan is so much more interesting to me.
Kinda reminds me of the Superboy/Aquaman (Aquaboy) and Superboy/Green Arrow stories...

In related news, Wikipedia deleted the yearly Networks Saturday Morning Cartoon line-ups.
Apparently, it wasn't important enough to keep it archived.

The Prime Time ones will probably get taken out next by whoever is being gung-ho about it.

There was even one for young Clark meeting young Bruce Wayne
Who retroactively dons a proto-Bat (outrageously awesome flying-fox) costume. LOL!

....an incredible and unforgettable encounter, which in true silver-age convenient fashion, is by the end mind-wiped.
So it kind of both happened and didn't happen? LOL!
