When you think about it, even Nature Girl could be a problem for him. If she's not distracted, then how long before she realizes that everything is fake?
I was wondering if maybe Apocalypse would have set up the fire, but you have a point. This fire was perfect. It allowed the X-Men to save those kids, it was a pull to Nature Girl because she was "born" there, and it didn't involve them actually having to fight anyone. It appeals to all of the X-Men.
Apocalypse's telepathic message was just a coicindence.
The last thing you want as AU architect and ruler is peole more powerful than you that can reveal the truth abou tit fully powered.
No one seems to be that powerful, only Nate.
even on a utopia you can't have heroes doing nothing all the time. The fire probably was fabricated
Between Nature Girl talking about the trees screaming here and how that’s all she ever thinks about and the Christmas Special I’m about to just start calling her the Lorax. Not gonna lie, I kinda liked her better when she wasn’t talking. She’s kinda one-note.
So things are finally perfect...a dream team but at what cost. No more sex..just tube babies? Haha. Nate Grey is the villain I never knew we needed.
It was wonderful to see Magneto at peace and the team flowly so well together.

I absolutely loved this a lot more than the Alpha issue. Had so much depth!
And I can’t believe they referenced X-Man #69 on the first page!
I love just how melodramatic she is. Just imagine how awful it would be to hear screaming trees all the time lol
You know, I really like Magneto on this team because it acknowledges what we've all known for a long time, that Magneto is an X-Men. He might be a sociopathic mutant extremist, but ultimately he's one of the family.
And yeah, taking away sex for the X-Men has to be one of th most dastardly ideas ever. And gotta give credit to the writing team for making it oddly logical.
I have it on my headcanon that the real reason Nate forbid sex and love is because he's angsty over his own lust/love/mommy issues for Jean lol.

This made me well up a bit, I need a minute.
