Default Its practically apocalyptic for mutants in current books, remake genosha time.

Reading Uncanny 11 (hadnt read an x book or even a marvel book in ages before this) with how ridiculously morbid and hopeless things are, it should be obvious to all the characters that "Xaviers dream" is impossible.

Scott should be like "I've been at this gig for like 20 years or something, have watched people die, have died, and things are a lot worse for mutants, we need our own country".

They should find some mutant/magic thats grows land or something, go out into international waters and construct a continent south of Africa in between south America and the sea or something and make it a mutant only continent (use magic to keep humans away).

People will say "this goes against everything we stood for", scott can be like "I'm not a naive child anymore".

The thing is, you just can't move the entire population of mutants to that island or space station.

Rebuild cerebro to find all the mutants, use one of them teleporting mutants that can transport groups at once, itl take a long time but whatever.

No, thanks. We've seen this plot a half-size times. I'm sure there's something like this in the oven right now, and we're going to hope upon hope it's something new and different than the last times.

There's a strong case for Age of X-Man being one of these, too.

They did this already more than once. Heck, they did it for Utopia and the rest of the world still wouldn't leave them alone.

And Magneto already has a new mutant sanctuary out there he's been gathering mutants at.

Won't happy when humans will show up and blow up the place. Face it Marvel rights can't let the X-Men be happy once.

Considering how out for blood that the humans are currently, remaking Genosha would be like painting the world's biggest Sentinel target on one location.

Depends on how it's written. New Attilan had the fire power to keep themselves safe so, I see no reason why Mutants wouldn't be able too.

The amount of alien technology in the X-Mens possession is ludicrous. Then there's Danger and the sh#t load of powerful X-Men and Mutants on stand by. The combination of Jamie and Legion alone is an army that could wipe out countless Sentinels without having to worry about casualties.

It could EASILY work, but editorial doesn't want it to. They wanna keep the X-Men stagnant, divided, and defeated over and over and over.

Genosha makes sense it is just that writers want to write mutants on the edge of extinction .Genosha is an easy out in stories and writers don't like easy outs for example Genosha is around when Utopia era move all the mutants to Genosha, Genosha was around during IvX move all the mutants to the island put a bubble up when the cloud comes, Genosha is around right now when they coming after all the mutants well all the mutant goes to Genosha. It is just to easy of answer to have around plus Genosha moves mutant population from fringe subculture to full fledge population with so many humans that it is hard to ignore the fact that mutants are the future.

As for humans attacking Genosha it doesn't make logical sense to attack island filled of superpower humans. Genosha had one point 16 million mutants and wouldn't society of people form an military to protect themselves. The X-men is like 100 or so mutants and they basically held off the US during Utopia era. It is sheer insanity to attack a Genosha. Don't mistake Marvel downsizing of mutant populations stories for stories making logical sense Sentinels aren't aren't bring down island filled with 16 million mutants who had a functional society. You don't attack countries with WMDs

It would be the logical step but we already know how that would inevitably end.

Mutant sanctuaries were not meant to last long.

Plus even the Avengers do not mind invading your house and destroying it then how do you expect the rest of the world to respect it?

What's more the mutants have not achieved anything through isolation maybe it's time to go the other way.

I caught up in books. It should be noted there's a "mutant haven" plot in X-Force, and another percolating in the background with regard to Magneto's work leading up to 'X-Men Disappointing' in addition to 'Age of X-Man'.

We got this angle covered, and - as others have pointed out - what's being described is Utopia anyway, and we already weathered that for a handful of years.

It sounds logically, it that’s exactly what happened to Genosha. It was not only attacked but nearly wiped out within minutes. If marvel let that happen once, they’ll let it happen again.
