    Default Rhino Appreciation (2019)

    NOTE: This thread is to serve as continuation of the previous "Rhino - Character Analysis and Appreciation" thread, which can be found at

    And yet, the Rhino's past has kinda been all over the place. He's been super-smart. He's been dumb as a brick.

    What's your favorite version of the Rhino? Favorite story? And how do you tie together all the various interpretations we've had over the years?

    I look forward to reading your thoughts!

    Always glad to see an adaption of Rhino that doesn't make him a mutated Rhino-man.

    I seem to remember getting a copy of this in my Easter basket one year:

    Marvel Tales #30 (April 1971), which reprinted stories from:
    * Amazing Spider-Man #58 (March 1968)
    * Amazing Spider-Man #41 (October 1966)
    * and an 11-page story with The Angel

    I actually like him being a mutated Rhino since it ties in with Spider-Man’s other animal hybrid criminals.

    huh? him not being mutated ties in to Spider-Man's animal themed rogues gallery ex. Vulture, Kangaroo, Beetle, etc.

    I'm more thinking of a metaplot. In a lot of adaptations, animal hybrids all come from the same source. It gives Rhino a literal connection to Spider-Man's other rogues, like in Ultimate Spider-Man.
