Hang on - you can email Marvel asking them about their Legacy Number schemes and they confirm it?

This might solve the Silver Surfer query.

    Spider-Woman (1999) 1-18 18 51 to 68
    Spider-Woman (2015) 1-10 10 69 to 78
    Spider-Woman (2016) 1-17 17 79 to 95
    Spider-Woman (2020) 1-10 10 96 to 105

This leaves out Bendis' seven-issue series for some reason, but that's the way it goes.
Are you Alex Harper by any chance?

Shang-Chi vol. 2 #1 out next week will be Legacy #127

Silk, vol. 3 #2 is listed as LGY#27

The Mighty Valkyries, vol. 1 #1 is LGY15

Black Cat, vol. 2 - issue 4 was LGY16, then the covers dropped the practice.

Black Widow, vol. 8 # 6 is LGY#46 (several volumes / series not included)

Noticed in Amazing Spider-Man today that the footnotes refer to the Legacy Number back-issues (#816), eschewing the current series' number (Volume 5, #15 (2018))...

Has this been happening in other series?
    Honestly, it's a lot simpler.

Anyone know how "What If" got to #200 in 2011?

Was that a legit count, or something crazy like Deadpool #900?

Well, there was a run of 44 issues that ran from 1977-1984; a "What If"? Special (one-shot) with Iron Man in 1988; and a 115 issue run from 1989-1998. Not sure what else they added in to the count.

That 1977 series actually ran to 47 issues. The -1 issue in the second volume doesn't count, and neither does that special. And you missed a bunch of minis from between 2004 and 2010.
