unless i am mistaken, but isn't The Lizard still way way stronger than tombstone? plus fangs, and claws, and a giant tail?

I don’t know about how much stronger he is - Tombstone is able to seriously put the hurt on Spidey.

But the claws, tail and teeth are certainly a thing.

And Lizard’s speed is such that in the non-equalised match, he’ll be out of a grenade’s range before it hits, and he is NEVER getting hit by a flamethrower.

Lonnie would need the Lamethrower for that, and the Significant Otter ain’t for sharing.

Lizard has always been in some nebulous "stronger than Spiderman" weight class, whereas Tombstone is typically pegged as slightly below him except in durability, which makes me think Lizard should take it

Probably Lizard. He just seems stronger and much faster.

Spider Man can effect Tombstone if he webs his fists and goes for more power in the punch.

Lizard? He outclasses Peter to the point he “has” to think outside the box to win or he gets murked by Connors.
