    Time to tally the votes:

1 vote each: icctrombone, Kirby101, kjn, Ravin' Ray, Squirrel Man
2 votes each: Enigmatic Undead, nx01a, Stony, Tami
    3 votes each: Ajax_X

and a THREE way tie with FIVE votes each: CellerDweller, ed2962 and foxley!

Will someone who hasn't voted chime and break the deadlock?

Congratulation ed! And I can't believe I did not remember that cover to post it first. I consider this a win for both of us, and the indomitable Sal Buscema.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Congratulations to Ed2962 for a marvelous cover which harkened to a story which combine politics, continuity, and a real life setting. It is a cover of great magnitude... (sorry). But for Secret Empire, this was the inspiration.

As to what the captain has learned this week, he has long realized the evil twin is a common foe for heros. Moreso than one's "opposite number", a twin is you, unencumbered by morality or conscience. It's no surprise that so many stories utilize that theme. Also, props to cellardweller for a novel take on the theme. Well done, and I suspect you'll be getting my vote one of these weeks.

And thank you to stony for enabling my tired joke yet another week. But seriously, how could I not?

Thanks to MajorHoy for the honorable mention (was Swan a master of facial expression or what?!) and icctrombone for the fake out

And congrats ed2962. Great Sal cover, although I think Marvel missed a golden opportunity by not tweaking that dialogue a bit

NP! When I saw you'd posted my cover, I foolishly thought "Yay! A vote!" Then I saw your actual vote in the following post. But I can't fault you for that; that Buscema Cap cover is a classic -- great choice
