Yeah. You rarely see it in fiction. It's even gotten to a point where it's just stupid now. The novel Carrie was about a weird girl who wasn't seen as attractive & she went to prom with Tommy Ross, one of the hotter cooler kids who started to fall for her.

But what happened on-film in the most recent remake? They get Chloe Grace to play her. lol You had people defending it as good because it shows pretty girls can be bullied too. But the story wasn't & shouldn't be about "poor little hot girl." lol

Everyone in that picture literally looks the same, with the same facial structure and everything. So even if people see what they want in Psylocke, and she does look white. Everyone else looks like her, even the dudes. That's just this person's artistic style.
Kinda like how Art Adams, Alan Davis, Jim Lee, etc. All of their characters look alike. Hell, all the people I draw look alike. Even when I do 3D art, my shit all looks alike.

Back on topic, I thought the artist kind of tipped the scales back and forth between her looking Caucasian and Asian. I've only ever really know the Asian version of Psylocke in 616 so I think that it is what I expect to see on the page and so my mind probably see's things others may not that support what I've known.

Heck I even thought the Ultimate version of Betsy looked Asian and they explicitly said she was English and wrote her with a very English/British voice.

You don't get decide what isn't attractive,They are people who don't find fat people attractive and thus seeing handsome man with fat woman is weird to them. That qualifies enough for your argument that it happens,I don't know why you want to do this exercise hey let's call women ugly I can find what some people consider butterface women with attractive males or I can find attractive men with old women as well. I am not going because well it is stupid but yeah it happens all the time. Looking for comic and tv media to put "ugly' women in it doesn't happen,You can find non stereo typically looking women but you won't really find "ugly" and they won't be in lead role hence they won't much character development
