Default Simon Phoenix replaces the Joker in TDK

He has access to the Joker's henchmen and other resources. This is post-thawing Simon, so he has his computer hacking and combat skills as well. How do things go?

not as well as you think.

while simon was pretty badass, he was a badass in a era of wimps who didn't know how to deal with him. depends on what his end goal is too.

Yeah. One of the main reasons Simon did so well, was the fact society got really soft and stupid.

He's still pretty competent, and strong enough to hurl a man through the air one-handed. That on top of the skills he gained, and we know he was clever enough to hide a bunch of hostages in plain sight well enough to trick the 90s cops and Stallone.

Phoenix was badass - and quite competently conniving - long before "San Angeles" was a peaceful utopia.

He's the reason John Spartan was frozen alongside him in 1996, as he framed him for attacking a building full of hostages (even though, in reality, he'd already killed them all). He'd also rigged the building to explode and was a career criminal, lording over a fairly ruthless gang and having the respect of all the other dangerous thugs who were frozen at the same time as him.

He was also perfectly capable of going toe-to-toe with John Spartan, who was the toughest LAPD officer in 1996 Los Angeles.

Everything he did in the ill-equipped future was based on skills he'd learned in a very violent past version of L.A.

While he's no Joker in terms of planning, he could certainly kick his ass in a fight, and he certainly WASN'T only a badass in an era of wimps.
