I still have my original copy of the Killing Joke and the story coupled with Dave Gibbons work makes it a favourite. I do agree with Alan about the story's darkness. I was not a father when I purchased the book but now I am and with a daughter the shooting of Barbara seems very violent now.

I agree with Vordan's comments regarding Oracle, she was a great female character and good female characters have been missing from Batman for sometime especially in Tom King's excessively long and poor run on Batman.

Then you obviously don't know much about creators or the post-creative process. In one of the cases, it concerns an author with multiple Hugo wins and nominations with a long career. It's just how their feelings towards their prior work change over time.
«Speaking generally, it is because of the desire of the tragic poets for the marvellous that so varied and inconsistent an account of Medea has been given out» (Diodorus Siculus, The Library of History [4.56.1])

No. Living Hell is much more straightforward - though still quite quirky. It's a great story.

Batman vs Predator? I love it. A Batman/Predator crossover has no right to be any good, but Gibbons wrote it really well - and it has a great Alfred moment.

The Dracula Trilogy I thought was terrible, but many people consider it a classic so YMMV.

    Yeah.

One is laughing at a person and the other is criticising a story.

I was being sarcastic because I hated "Killing Joke." Sorry about the confusion. Loved Moore's Swamp Thing run.
