Just posting in the new thread to express my appreciation of this/these character(s)
Forget the old ways - Krakoa is god.
OBEY
Well, as far as I know it has never been stated if they're really mechanical or just sort of a brassard. Originally she had only one, the third of her left arms.
At some point, the second of her left arms was showed as mechanical too, just her forearm actually. Probably in UXM #10:
You're SO welcome!
As an antagonist, a dancing, amoral, body-tampering 6-armed sorceress is just fascinating so I always enjoy a good Spiral appearance.
I would love to see her lingering resentment towards Mojo fully explored however - Spiral would really work for the Frenzy/Juggernaut X-Men team treatment again, as sadly Uncanny X-Force didn't really do enough with her.
Alternatively/additionally, Rita manifesting fully again and having to come to terms with her changed body and abilities would be a rich story to explore.
Something really shocking is happening in Mr & Mrs X #9.
Big spoiler!

There are several possibilities. The most obvious:
spoilers:end of spoilers
Spiral got pregnant by Longshot at some point in the present, past or future, since she can time-dance.
This theory has got some problems, though, because
spoilers:end of spoilers
Spiral is in fact Rita, changed by Arize through magic and bioengineering. And Rita is human, she hasn't got six arms nor three fingers to transmit through her genes.
Other theory mentioned, but that I find not plausible:
spoilers:end of spoilers
The baby is Spiral herself. But, as I said before, this has no sense because it doesn't exist such a thing as a young Spiral: she's an aspect of adult Rita.
Also, one more:
spoilers:end of spoilers
It is a new artificial creature by the Spineless. If so, it would be the first time, as far as I know, that they build a baby instead of an adult. Unless it's a creature designed by a free Arize, in which case we know he loves to make what he likes, the bizarrer the better.
One thing is for sure:
spoilers:end of spoilers
It's got blue eyes and blond hair. I know that all the small babies have blue eyes and, sometimes, light hair that go dark as time passes by, but this is a comic, so I think it's a hint that Longshot is the father and Rita (pre-Spiral) is not the mother.

X-Men #31 Apr 1994
"Soul Possessions Part One: The Butterfly & the Hawk"
Spiral watches through Revanche's bionic eyes
as Revanche seemingly prepares to attack a sleeping Charles Xavier.
Just then, however, the feed cuts out, and the next morning Xavier reveals to Psylocke that Revanche left him a note saying she was leaving.
Psylocke declines to tell him that Revanche left her her bionic eyes.
In Japan, Matsuo recalls his past relationship with Kwannon, then meets with Spiral.
At the X-Mansion, Archangel invites Psylocke to breakfast while Xavier discusses his intentions to re-open Emma Frost's school with Beast,
and Gambit checks on Rogue, who has been acting strangely since they returned from New Orleans. In Japan, Revanche tracks down Matsuo.
She forces him to admit the truth of her origins. Dying of the Legacy Virus, she then asks Matsuo to end her life, and he does,
a sensation Psylocke feels a half a world away, as she and Archangel return to the mansion to find Spiral waiting for her,
offering to answer all the questions she has about her relationship to Kwannon.
Script by Fabian Nicieza, pencils by Andy Kubert, inks by Matt Ryan
That shadowy panel of Spiral at the viewing controls is so rad.
Wow, I forgot how solid Kubert's work is
