Propose a DC show for the DC app!

JONAH HEX - I think most agree that the movie a while back was just bad. I’d take a tv series and mix western adventure with other DC western characters (Cinnamon, Bat Lash, Scalphunter, etc ) and mix in some other DC time period appropriate characters ( Vandal Savage, Ras Al Ghul, a version of Swamp Thing, Baron Winter and so on ). Just use that time period of the DCU to its max.

That would be a way to add genre variety to the app.

Shadowpact - DC doesn't do much with their mystical corner in adaptations compared to metahuman and space stories. Shadowpact is an entertaining book about DC's magic based characters that could work as either live action or animated.

Booster Gold and Blue Beetle (With Nathan Fillion preferably as Booster and have the first season be Ted wanting to get home as they travel thru time but learning History says he died the day after he left so he now knows if he returns home he dies. He could even meet his replacement Jaime. ).

Lobo (Mercenary/Bounty Hunter in Space sounds cool to me.).

Sideways (As a Sliders fan having him dimension hop could be fun).

Lobo would be a great over the top yet dark comedy. Kind of like The Mummy and Mummy Returns. Though as a space flick, it may be easier to do as an animated series.


Red Hood: Outlaw. Series starts with a quick montage of Jason's background, maybe not dissimilar to what the CW shows do. Who he is, and how he ended up where he is. It follows him as he hunts down rapists, drug dealers, etc and comes across Arsenal. Not a fan of adding Starfire to it, but Artemis and Biz would be great. It could detail Jason's rocky road with the other Bats (kind of how they did with Dick in Titans, keeping them in the shadows), while still doing good. If in more brutal fashion.

Do House of Mystery as an anthology series, hosted by Cain and Abel, but maybe only about six episodes per year (mini movies) like BLACK MIRROR, but unlike BLACK MIRROR pepper them throughout the year so they come out in between the other series on the DCU. Adapt some stories from the original DC anthologies, as well as fresh new concepts.
