Be prepared, the Iron Fist crapfest of bad writing continues in Defenders. It was hard to finish even 6 episodes it was so putrid.

Season 2 of Iron Fist is a big step up. It focuses less on the company and more on Danny's exploits on the street, extends on the mythology of L'un K'un, actually get some flashbacks set there and the fight choreography is a lot better.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
Thanks Mid. I'll give defenders a try, maybe hold off IF S2 until I finish the rest.

There is nothing I can add to this that has not already been said, but getting a Punisher series at all was a blessing.
Finished Defenders. It was fun. I did like the interactions of the heroes and the more straighforward, faster paced story.
Some surprises, and a couple of deaths I didn't see coming. Not sure what Matt's plane was at the end.
Convince Electra she was good so they could die together?
Danny again shows himself to be largely a dolt who keeps saying he knows what he is doing, but doesn't know jack.
Yes, not up to the best of the other shows, but better than IF S1 and at least as good as LC S1.

It looks like the same decision that cost us these shows also took Santa Clarita Diet out.
Just saw Engame. Uh spoilers but the ending made me wonder

if the 5 year post-snap time jump had anything to do with the cancellations. I mean, these shows tried to pay lip service to the going ons of the MCU. But it tried to be their own thing. That would have been impossible after endgame. The ramifications and fallout would have been too big. They’d either have to do the time jump, or have them take place in the 5 years where half the universe died. Or ignore it and drop MCU connections.
Most series' do not get conclusions, though, as a result of being axed unexpectedly. None on this sort of scale, but it becomes difficult to cover every single loose end before a season comes to an end once world building really kicks in. It is kind of why the UK has the idea to do mini-series, I just am not a huge fan of them because they don't feel like they get to go far enough.
