What New Identity Should Tim Drake Take?

As of the newest issue of YJ I am still not sold on this uniform. I liked brown on Tarantula in TASS but this just isn't appealing. I get trying to have him branch out like Dick and Jason but sadly I just don't dig it as much as I had hoped. Too busy, weird colors and the world's most dangerous bird.... Shessh. Love Tim but not feeling this.

It's successfully making me miss Red Robin .

Without seeing them side-by-side, in my mind he looks like a brown version of Orphan sans mask/hood. It just strikes me as so generic - there's no design motif, just segmented bodyarmor with yellow highlights. I liked when he had wings or the Gatchaman style cape - that at least set him apart aesthetically.

5G.

I expect to see a G2 book with Bruce, set early in his career, where Dick is Robin. And maybe a NTT era book with Nightwing (maybe). But I fear Dick and his entire generation are going to be swept under the rug in 5G's "present day." We've got new people taking over mantles when the most obvious choices are Dick and his peers. So if these other guys are taking over the big names and running the League, where's that gonna leave the OG Titans? Probably off the board.

Or at least, I think that may have been the original plan. With Didio gone and DC looking to establish a bit more synergy across formats, and Dick going by Nightwing on the Titans show, I have a little hope that Dick will get better treatment, though they may not make it into the initial 5G launch.

If I had to guess, I'd say Didio's plan was for Damian to take over the Nightwing mantle or something. With Didio gone? Things *might* end up looking a little better.

Since Damian is leaving Robin Tim could take it up again. It's better than Drake and I like his Rebirth suit more than the UPS Man costume he's currently Rocking.

As the majority of you know, Tim Drake has been reverted to the role of Robin once again. This is a tad awkward considering that...

1. Damian Wayne is Robin simultaneously.

And...

2. It was generally accepted that Drake moved on from the Robin moniker. Having him back in the role is like having adult Dick Grayson back in the role of the boy wonder, or having adult Wally West back in the role of Kid Flash. It's just a little odd.


So this is a thread to suggest a new name for Tim Drake!
Personally, I would give him the "Flamebird" identity that was originally spotted by Betty Kane.

I'm a little out of the lope right now. When did this happen???
