I've heard that the nose bone strike is really baloney. You can smash someone's nose but not drive anything significant into their brain.

You can drive nose bone into the brain. Of course, for that to happen the front of their skull would pretty much be completely shattered and caved in, so... yeah.

But you'd have nose bone in their brain.

Talking about normal humans fighting. Nose bone is a myth for us. Back to the SWAT team, I'd just set up a sniper ambush for the peak human types without some kind of sensory powers or super speed. That's different from close up jumping around battles.

Promethius ESPECIALLY should not be taken down that way.
In his very first storyline Promethius was taken down by a shot to the nuts from Catwoman. He had the JLA in the palm of his hand and lost it due to a whip to the nads. You would think after that he'd learn and add a metal jockstrap or something to this costume.

Odd that he wouldn't have a jock strap, a really good one.
