    Just like it says.

    Who is your favorite DC hero of (or consistently passes for) African descent? And briefly, why?

    I'm including Milestone, although I'm not sure how much they belong to DC versus are their own entity.

    DC doesn't own Milestone they just have publishing rights.

    So Vixen is my favorite DC hero, but if we're including Milestone then Static is my favorite.
    My priority is black female characters; everything else is secondary.

    Cyborg followed by Steel. Black Lightning has moved up on my list recently.

    I know Black Manta isn't a hero but he's probably my favorite black character overall. Such a bad ass.

    Vixen (Marilyn "Mari" McCabe) is my favorite DC character out of ALL of their characters. I just love everything about her.

    It's always a coin flip between John Stewart and Duke Thomas for me . I went with Duke since I picked John in the Africana Appreciation thread. Cyborg, Vixen, Black Lighting and Wallace West are definitely honorable mentions.

    Static shock, I basically grew up on his cartoon show and I loved every minute of it. Love that they added him to Young Justice.

    Followed by that is probably John Stewart, I pretty much love all the green lanterns but again I grew up with him being in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. After that Aqualad/Aquaman/Kaldur who is a character who’s great in cartoons but who I wish they’d do more with in comics(seriously he could at least be in the Aquaman ongoing).

    But most surprising is that I actually do like Val-zod. Not many people liked Earth 2 from what I understand but I enjoyed parts of it and he was genuinely one of my favorite parts of it.

    Honestly not sure. I really like Mal, Karen, Black Lightning, Vixen and John Stewart about the same. I'm just gonna vote other for Mal because he needs some love.

    Kaldur from YJ, but only YJ. His comic incarnation is underwhelming.
    It's the Dynamic Duo! Batman and Robin!... and Red Robin and Red Hood and Nightwing and Batwoman and Batgirl and Orphan and Spoiler and Bluebird and Lark and Gotham Girl and Talon and Batwing and Huntress and Azreal and Flamebird and Batcow?
