There ya go, more proof, love kills, all hail the savior Nate! Bet the movie won a dozen oscars.
In this here 99% perfect Utopia, the only rule is, "don't fuck".
So what do the X-Men do? Fuck.
So ungrateful. Lol
Biggest mystery of the book:
Why are Irma and Celeste sleeping in the same bed?
I liked this slice of life in a celebrity setting tale, where you can seemingly have it all, but still be left wanting... feel like something's missing. That life can be lil' more than an ongoing 'performance' in many ways, brought about by chasing an ideal, that can never be achieved. Not to mention the temptation of the proverbial...
... forbidden fruit. Symbolism, indeed.
'Cause Hollyweird is the land of make-believe, and detached from reality, or something to that effect. Meggan says it herself, "We're the theater people. The strange ones."
And apparently NUDE?! However slight, there was a sense of incestuous intimacy, that the panel depiction lent itself to.
Human nature = comfort > discomfort. Very WASPish, avoiding unsettling conflict in any way. The 'let's-just-pretend-it doesn't-eXist' way of dealing with things. If we don't acknowledge and/or address unresolved problems, maybe they'll just go away, on their own. After undoubtedly being eXposed to so much misery, Kurt probably just wants everybody to get along.
eh, i thought it was ok. out of the three books released so far this has been my least favorite. i'll continue to read it, but i wasn't in love with it
Definitely the weakest of the AoX bunch so far. Not that it was bad, just dull.
Theater People

“Actors in any capacity, artists of any stripe, are inspired by their curiosity, by their desire to explore all quarters of life, in light and in dark, and reflect what they find in their work. Artists instinctively want to reflect humanity, their own and each other's, in all its intermittent virtue and vitality, frailty and fallibility.”
― Tom Hiddleston
*remarkably poor quality print edition, shoddy cut, staples aslant - a shame really, the real thing being so hastily wrought
and these modern bags with those easily split seams.

“The reason of the unreasonableness which against my reason is wrought, doth so weaken my reason, as with all reason I do justly complain on your beauty.”
― Miguel de Cervantes Don Quixote
Shouldn't there have been a bagged cover for this with the secret history of the Age of X-Man?
