Avengers won't be back on the Namor storyline for a while, as War of the Realms is the next arc.

Namor and the Defenders will be in WOTR Avengers arc, along with the Squadron and Winter Guard. Jason's basically using those issues to show WOTR as a more global storyline (since his Avengers is the "MU world tour" book) and have some action set pieces to develop all his fractured plotlines at once.

I would imagine the movie hype and the new #1 status played a big part in all the Carol sales.

Time will tell if it will stick beyond the second issue, especially with the less then stellar precedent for her solo book.

True.
These are just pre-sells, most of which are just to stock shelves, but she's out-pre-selling a lot of other books.
And that can be really good for her.

Well duh. Marvel has a ton of great books out right now. You have a bunch of high profile books and two big events, AoX and WotR.

Actually, the X Men line did not do well in January.

Actually, every Carol #1 since KSD has done better than the previous one. But Life of was only about half as popular as this one!

As someone who has argued that many people look at the FF that way I'm pleasantly surprised.

I think Slott has played this smart despite the initial criticism. The first issue was always going to do well but holding off to explain what had happened to Richards' and the kids for another issue incentivised people to stick with it. He then followed that with Ben's wedding which would bring out fans followed by Doom/Galactus story which was always get people buying Hopefully the FF can keep that momentum.
