It's valid to factor it into the equation. But if Carol needs something to boost her to that power level, while Sentry is that powerful by default it gives him the edge.

Again, I think Carol deserves to be in the conversation. But I think she's more a dark horse than a favorite in it.

Neither of those things are external forces though. Hulk can power himself up via anger and Batman always has his sharp mind. Carol, on the other hand, can't simply trigger Binary without enough energy to absorb. Is it something she can do? Yes. But the fact that it's not a self-sustained powerup makes the difference there.

The key difference is that she can't get there by herself. What if there's insufficient external energy sources to boost her to Binary level? Then she's only as powerful as she would normally be as Captain Marvel. The Hulk, on the other hand, can amp himself up, sort of like a football player that hypes up himself before a game. Even a self-enraged Hulk is far more powerful than most of the people walking the planet, including baseline Captain Marvel.

Like I said before, Blue Marvel has more than enough energy to boost Carol to Binary stage. It's as easy as snapping his fingers. What does that tell you about how powerful he is? And Blue Marvel isn't even the MIGHTIEST hero, if you let everyone tell it. So yeah, Carol has a ways to go. They might change that someday, but right now, they have her on power management mode most of the time.

Agreed. This's just going to get the wrong people worked up. Captain Marvel is a top-tier superhero and it doesn't really matter if she's literally the most powerful or not.
