Default Trading Crossovers: Marvel and DC

so, what would make for an intriguing 'mega crossover' but the antagonists would have to change universes-- for "Crisis on Infinite Earths", the AntiMonitor would menace the Marvel multiverse-- for "Civil War", one faction of DC heroes would advocate for national registration, and another faction would resist. For "Invasion!" the Dominators would attempt to invade and take over Marvel Earth. For "Secret Wars 2015", maybe Darkseid somehow is granted ultimate power over the multiverses, and the DC Heroes are stuck in new interpretations of themselves until they 'wake up'...

Could be fun, could be crazy, could have some intense conflicts..

For a fan fic, I once wrote, "Doomsday versus the Avengers" and "JLA versus Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet."
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

We have all these annoying Batman vs Superman alternate universe stories that rarely make sense especially when they use post crisis as a stepping stone. It was done well the first time in TDKR and it had a somewhat nuanced telling in Kingdom Come but most other times it comes across as incredibly forced. The post crisis dynamic between the two was one of great respect and any conflicts between the two always required extraordinary circumstances to be believable since they were essentially two sides of the same coin

Therefore instead of the cliched Batman vs Superman Civil War, someone like Oliver or Diana or even Hal would be much better fits as dogmatic ideologues on either side with Batman and Superman taking supporting roles, perhaps remaining aloof or even taking opposing sides of the debate but as the main rivals. . it just seems off to me

Blackest Night with every single Lantern Corps represented by Marvel characters would be pretty cool.

Traditional, predictable characters could be the baseline members of each Corps (Captain America/Green or Blue, Thanos/Yellow, Hulk/Red, Norman Osborn/Orange etc).

Then, when the duplicate rings are sent out to deputy members, we could get some less likely wielders. Doom with a Green ring, for example. His will is unrivalled, but he'd never be recruited to be a permanent GL due to his nature. This would be the ideal opportunity to see him in action with a ring as a deputy.

I remember the X-Books trying to follow up Blackest Night with Necrosha.

    It was not good.

Of course, that's different than giving Marvel characters their own emotional spectrum rings, but you'd think with all those deaths and resurrections that Necrosha would be a decent enough story.

Would the Teen Titans of the 1980s do well in some of the X-Men major events, like Inferno, or Mutant Massacre?
