Default Games That Should Be Movies

What video games should be movies?

    My top picks:

    1. StarFox 64 - it's basically Star Wars meets the Muppets. That concept alone is hilarious.

    2. Soul Calibur - a fighting game franchise that isn't tournament-based. Follow Seigfried as he embarks on an epic journey for SoulEdge.

    3. Legend of Zelda - a Zelda movie would work best without Link. Have Zelda becomes the Hero of Hyrule.

    4. Crazy Taxi - Think 'American Graffiti' of Video Game movies.

    5. Star Wars Racer - Let's center on Podracing scene in the Star Wars universe, but done in the style of an ESPN 30 For 30 Documentary.

*looks at Yoda, Chewbacca, Jar Jar Binks, Maz Kanata, etc...*

I mean, isn't Star Wars already basically Star Wars meets the Muppets?

    Diablo
    Diablo II LOD
    Diablo III

Although Diablo 2 would probably make the best film.

    Zelda, Breath of the wild.

I think it's a wonderful story to adapt on screen. And kinda simple really, with very little lore to explain.

Actually you could do in it in the movie exactly as it is done in the game, with the old king. Just faster of course.

I mean, what do you need to know? There is a big bad guy that the good guys every century or whatever need to beat down, expect that this time the current good guys failed to do the job, now we are a century later and Link is back from his beauty sleep to finish the job.

From there you can have our lazy bastard of a hero go do some most needed ghosts cleansing, memories hunting and princess saving.

You can make a damn good movie out of this stuff.

    StarCraft 2

Warcraft already has a Movie but StarCaft deserves a movie or two.

I'd prefer Ninja Gaiden as an animated series like Castlevania on Netflix. The games never had a strong story or a good cast of characters so they'd have their work cut out for them. But its a cool concept that I wish was done better so I'd check out a potential NG animated series.

Hitman series on Netflix would be awesome if they adapted the modern games. Cast this guy as The Constant.

There was an anime video loosely based on the arcade and NES games released in the early 90s. Like pretty much every OAV around that period it pretty much dealt with Ryu battling biomechanoid monsters from what I've read and seen about it.

Yeah I'm not a big enough fan to go hunt it down.

On topic- Infamous could be fun but you might loose something with the lack of gameplay. Unlike Uncharted you can't really create a new story for Cole to tackle. Maybe for Delsin or someone new?

EDIT- Tekken and King of Fighters could work better as TV shows.

    Dark Tales- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.p...game/DarkTales

It's an Edgar Allen Poe crossover series. His detective character C. August Dupin investigates crimes based off his works. That sounds ripe for a fun period piece/reimagining.
    ------------------------

The elevator pitch for a Jak and Daxter movie series is "Star Wars if Luke became Wolverine".

That description feels weird but it's an accurate representation of the games.

Jak 2 is a more gritty game than Jak 1. Jak goes through a ton of bad experiences that leave their mark.

Jak struggling through PTSD would be a subplot in the films.

    Mass Effect 1-3, Paragon/sarcastic Shepard.

Stubbs the Zombie. View a zombie apocalypse, but from the zombie's point of view. Its over the top, brightly colored, and not taken seriously at all.

Excellent choice, and I agree. I'd love to see this get adapted into a series of anime-movies
