    Default Best New Villains

Just as the title suggests. Probably going back from the 2000s or so, because there really hasn’t been many. There’s been a lot of modernisation of old villains (Annihilus, The Skrulls etc) but very rarely new ones. Are they any you think of with the kind of staying power that says they’ll be here for years to come?

    Here’s a few I can think of:
The Black Order (probably THE biggest new additions)
    The Hood
    The Gorgon
    Morlun
Knull (only just arrived but I feel like he will have staying power)

Yeah he was a badass. Do you think he’ll be around as a regular, though? I worry he might want to be swept under the rug abit.

One thing I've come to see is you don't f@#k with The Gorgon.
"We live in a world of cowards. We live in a world full of small minds who are afraid. We are ruled by those who refuse to risk anything of their own. Who guard their over bloated paucities of power with money. With false reasoning. With measured hesitance. With prideful, recalcitrant inaction. With hateful invective. With weapons. F@#K these selfish fools and their prevailing world order." Tony Stark

Most of the ones that immediately spring to my mind have already been listed but here’s a couple more.

Cassandra Nova. I think she just makes the time parameters.
Gore, God Butcher. My personal favourite, probably won’t be seeing too much more of him though.

Gorgon's definitely cool. he's someone who actually makes me worry about the heroes who face him. his origin from enemy of the state was decent, as well. doesn't get more badass than killing yourself to prove a point after defeating a horde of ninja blindfolded.

    speaking of creepy and mysterious...

i'm not sure how you do that. we're talking about a villain with Steve Rogers willpower and tactical savvy. he logically would be on the same level as a doom or thanos in screwing with the status quo. i'm not sure how they'd use him any better than Secret Empire though.

He/she/it hasn’t potential. What happens once we hit that part of the story will determine how good a villain it is, I guess.

Completely forgot about Gorr and Negative Man.
I actually think the God Butcher could be back at some point. I always had a feeling he’d be back at the end of Aaron’s Thor run, but it doesn’t seem it’ll go that way.

All this love for the Gorgon puts a smile on my face. I like that he's scarcely used too... even tho in his last appearance, he got whupped by a recently revived(and fighting capable) Mariko.

well, out of the gate, Nu-Carrion scared Mysterio and made Kingpin bow his head.
