There have been so many missed opportunities. I get they could not have Movie characters showing up on a regular basis...and that was not what I wanted (at least not to be a major thing). But introduce more minor characters from the comics that cold be well done on a TV budget. Once they introduced Inhumans it became all Inhuman all the time....Daisy, Yo Yo, Hellfire...not Inhuman in the comics. Where are the others 'origins' where are the super soldier attempts, where are the magic users, where are the radiation accidents. Yes Ghost Rider was done great...better than Nick Cage's movies. But that was an example of the few and far between. They took Talbot...a world class tool in the comics...and made him a likable character....then hosed him by making him Graviton. Then they kill Phil....and introduce us to Sarge who has his face. Didn't like it when they made Ward Hive...and really thinking I am not going to like this Sarge thing.

So...maybe it has run it's course.
To be honest with you I feel the same way. This episode was not fun to watch at all, in fact it was kind of a chore. And as the biggest Mack/Yo-Yo shipper I know (since I don't know any others :P) I call bull. Jed loves his clichés more than his brother I guess.

Everything you said I agree with. I'll probably catch the entire season on the backend, as in watch it all at once when its over. But even then there's no rush.

    That Coulson doppelganger is cool.

Wondering if "Sarge" and his crew might be from an alternate timeline created when the SHIELD team messed with the future... and if that might explain the inexplicable absence of the whole Thanos story this season. That footage they watched looked an awful lot like a Thanos attack to me.

I dunno. The way Snowflake keeps talking about reincarnation, and the fact that Sarge finds the name "Coulson" familiar, leads me to believe it's something closer to home.

There was a Star Trek: Voyager episode that dealt with a race of aliens who recovered and re-animated dead people from other species and gave them new identities and new lives. This kind of reminds me of that in a way.

Might not be a popular opinion..but maybe this should be the last season.
Season 7 has already been greenlit though. Albeit we are getting shorter seasons likely devoted to only one story arc instead of 2-3 like the last few did.

Jemma and Quake being drunk or whatever they were on was hilarious.

What is wrong with the writers on this show..."Hey..Fitz and Simmons are madly in love...let's keep them apart as much as possible so we do not have to write a happy couple because we are just too emotionally pathetic to invest ourselves in it."

I like the space angle more than the Earth storylines so far. But, Id rather get Fitz back with the team sooner than drag it out. So there are pieces of the season I am enjoying so far. But, as a whole it is disjointed. I would like the space crew to meet more classic Marvel cosmic races. Skrulls are in now with Captain Marvel, there should have been one in the casino imo.

The space angle could branch off into SWORD. Keep doing space protection and adventures.

Reminds me of many a sitcom writer who's asked why he doesn't have the two main stars hook up and he says, "Well it ruins things to hook them up, like it did on Cheers, or Moonlighting." It's a cop out really. It didn't ruin things on Friends or Big Bang Theory. You may be right that it's just that some writers are too emotionally pathetic to write a happy couple being together.

I would to see the Badoon show up. Knowing how important they are on the cosmic side it surprises me they haven't shown up in the MCU.

I hated the tripping Daisy and Jemma. I kept thinking, they better find Fitz for me to sit through this silliness. OK, they sort of did, but then...Pfft!
And looks like next week is all back to Shield on Earth. So 2 week before they don't but them together.
And for the most part I really liked this season up to this ep.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Where would they have come into play? Aside from being part of the Thanos hordes I don’t see where they would make sense in the movies we have had.

This was probably my favorite episode of the season so far, actually. It was like someone took an unproduced Firefly episode and adapted it. The Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas parody was entertaining (although I just recently saw something very similar on Deadly Class). I kind of hope they're not going to reduce Enoch to a comic relief character, though.

I have a feeling the bounty hunter after Fitz is tasked with hunting down people who are supposed to be dead, and... making them that way. That's why he only stuns people who aren't on his list... because they *aren't* supposed to die yet.

What the evil Chronicoms are doing, I have no idea.

Nor do I have any idea what Sarge and his team are up to. Was that the GPS satellite grid he was mapping?

I wonder if we'll see the "Mr. Kitson" who was mentioned in this episode next week. Maybe played by George Kitson, the AoS writer he was named after. Or maybe by Joss Whedon? That would be cool.

I get the feeling Sarge and his crew might be trying to stop whatever destroyed past planets in that clip we saw. They are going about it in a cold, detached way though. Or that was that satalite grid and they wanna blind us so we dont see whatever it is coming. But yea I feel like they arent Evil. Just have become cold and numb.

So about a quarter into an episode about space Vegas and I hear Florida joke. How cute.
Somewhere, a nerd cries. I feel nothing.
