I assumed that they just had black budget funds. The plane didn't fly, so that's not a worry there

Wasn't this addressed at the end of the last season, when Fury gave Coulson the box that was supposed to have everything he needed to restart SHIELD? I would assume it would have a way to give the agency income with it.

Tonight's episode was definitely one of the strongest yet. Absorbing man was awesome, if a little one dimensional. A truly intimidating physical presence, amazingly rendered, especially for TV. I hope Izzy isn't out for the count, though it sure looks like she is. The twist with Fitz was wonderfully played. I really didn't see that coming. Focusing a bit less on Skye was a good move I think, but I would have liked more of Agent May in the season premier. Not a whole lot to complain about here. really good TV. I hope they keep it up.

Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. The episode only dragged a bit when they got to Fitz, who I find the single flattest character on the show, but even that was spiced up a bit.

I really liked all the new agent additions, though I am worried not many are going to stick around. They need to keep Lucy around, and all the new guys.

Loved the first episode of Season 2. Very strong premier that really highlighted the new theme of this season. Absorbing Man really stole the show. It looks like he could be this season's new Deathlok. Plus, he adds an element of powerful visuals that the first season lacked in the early episodes. But my favorite part was the first scene with Peggy Carter and the Howling Commandos. That was a nice touch, having them show up and take on Hydra. I hope that means more flashbacks in future episodes since Peggy Carter is getting a show of her own. Overall, I think this season started out on a high note. With Age of Ultron coming out next spring, there's definitely plenty of room to grow.
