Can't tell whose more intimidating. Evil Coulson or Fritz with his cool eyes.
I was wondering what happened to this thread. The Season 6 thread became the sort of de facto thread for a while.
I thought this was a really strong season premiere. We don't know yet if Daisy has retained all the new power she got last season, but it seems like it. The way she caused those mooks' guns to vibrate apart shows a level of pinpoint control I don't think we've seen from her before. And she's acquired enough of a rep already out in space to make pirates shake in their boots.
I like Jemma's new hair, too. But boy is she going to have one pissed-off crew next episode.
Looks like Fitz has "gone native" in this timeline similar to what he did in the other one. Wonder what happened to Enoch?
As for the Mirror Universe SHIELD team... I think they are time travellers who are trying to change the timeline for some reason. The woman said the guy trapped in the wall had "become a butterfly" and she told Agent Fox that he would become one, too. A reference to the Butterfly effect? Could they be trying to re-create the timeline that SHIELD averted last season? Or another one, to order? Or maybe their job is to fix timelines that other people have corrupted? If that's the case, though, you would think "Sarge" (Mirror Coulson) would know about the SHIELD team, but he doesn't seem to.
The woman's name is actually Butterfly, according to the credits, but that might be because she's a specialist in timeline-messing-with.
Will be interesting to see if Deke knows anything about these guys.
Or Fitz is just trying to survive long enough to figure out a way to get back to Earth, since he might not have any idea that Gemma and the others even know that he's out in space...
Nothing of the snap. It's presumably within the first year of the snap and nothing. That's gotta bug me all season.
I'm just glad they didn't spoil Endgame, which I'm going to see tomorrow.
In an article Ming-Na Wen says it is still pre-snap for them.

Maybe that is how they end this season...reports of Thanos's ships and then dust a bunch of them.“So, the Snap hasn’t happened yet,” Wen confirmed. “I think at this point it’s safe to say that we have departed from following the [Marvel] Cinematic Universe in that sense, and are just telling our own stories and our own situations. All this is happening pre-Snap.”
Didn't he shoot him with an energy weapon of some kind? If so, it's possible the shot was non-lethal. However, it's very unlikely there were no innocent fatalities when they blew up that museum.
I think they just have a very focused "nothing gets in the way of the mission" approach to whatever they're doing. At least one of them (the guy who got stuck in the wall) is either a cyborg or an android. His words, when he briefly re-animated in the lab, were: “Can’t stop it; it’s coming. Pachakutik. Wave goodbye.”
Pachakutik is a South American Indian word meaning fundamental change, and is used as the name of a movement for indigenous people's rights.
So... they have a connection to ley lines, they are fighting for indigenous people's rights, one of them is named "Butterfly". I think they might be faeries.
This doesn't make any sense. Last season made references to the Thanos warship that attacked New York in Infinity War. The events of that movie and near the end of the season we're happening side by side. Following the show's continuity we should be within the first year of the snap.
