I have a feeling this ends with us getting Coulson back... or rather and exact facsimile.

When Coulson took the orb (basically an artifact as powerful as the Infinity Gauntlet) into what they thought was the Fear Dimension, it created a duplicate of him which was inhabited by this incorporeal Pachacuti. But it seems Coulson's memories were also re-created as well, but have just been suppressed by Pachacuti... his half-glimpsed memories of May and Daisy and the other team members are the "family" he thinks Izel took from him. Once Pachacuti vacates that body, we should be left with a genetic duplicate of Coulson with only Coulson's memories left (up until the moment he went into the rift with the orb). It will, for all intents and purposes, be Coulson.

This is a favorite theme of shows created by Clan Whedon... that the sum of a person's memories ARE the person. It was the entire premise of Dollhouse, in fact.

Mack was smart locking up Daisy and Yo-Yo like that, but they really weren't prepared to face a challenge like Izel. I liked them verifying each other, that bit where Daisy sends money to Lincoln's sister was a nice touch.

Which would be an interesting comparison to what happened with Fitz. But at least we ended up with the smarter Fitz.

And let's pour one out for Agent Davis... the longest-surviving redshirt in television history.

Truly he deserved a first name. If they show his funeral next episode maybe we will learn it.

He was married with two kids, too. (Plus his work wife, Piper.)

Anyone else keep thinking about the movie "The Hidden" with Sarge/Phil and Izel?

Attempted. Can Shield, with the help of Sarge stop the portal? Stay turned.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

And Flint is back. But since the future where that version of him exists has been erased, Izel must have plucked him out of another universe.

Nice to see Deke actually impressing his grandparents.

Next week's two-parter should be... eventful.

I read that as Mack and YoYo conjured him. Created by their fear since he can give Izel the monoliths.

Yeah, that makes sense. These Fear Dimension constructs seem to be more than just illusions, and Flint might be able to use Inhuman powers that actually impact the real world. But what would be his motivation to obey Izel? From his viewpoint he'd be destroying the past of his own world and therefore erasing himself and everything he knows from existence. She could lie to him, of course, but Izel didn't have the forethought to put gags on Mack and Yo-Yo.

Keep Mack and YoYo alive? Flint is a hero, and they are his friends.

Izel may also have the ability to control the manifested Flint, being as she seems to think she'll have better control of the monolith energy.

A question for next week to answer, in any event.

But if obeying her means everyone dies/gets shriked anyway, that becomes kind of moot.

With this and all the Netflix shows canclled is Marvel Television gonna do anything anymore? Do they do the animated TV shows on DXD or is Marvel Animation a separate thing? Just wondering if Fiege gonna leave any characters for Marvel Television. I guess Cloak and Dagger hasnt been cancelled yet that I know of. So I'm guessing characters they have no plans for ever might be eligible. But yea I don't think Pearlmutter gonna get his hands on big boys like DareDevil and Punisher again. Sorry it Kinda vaguely has to do with AoS but didnt want to make a new thread.

Ok wonder if they will be working on new shows. Or if Mavrels gonna let them run they're course and that's that. But they got all those Animation shows coming to Hulu. So maybe that's the future of Marvel Television. Making shows with third string characters for Hulu.
