I didn't realize he did either of these covers.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Dick Dillin is such an underappreciated artist.

And you are correct. Dick Dillin did 115 issues of Justice League of America from 1968 until his death in 1980. Quite a run.

As foxley just posted, WPP, you are very correct. Being a consistent reader of the title since 1976 and a big fan of Dick Dillon, despite the obvious talents of this contest's honoree, it was quite a shock.

He did covers and interiors for Future Imperfect, which is a pretty great story and you should check it out.

WOW! Everyone stepped up big time with their entries to celebrate the career of George Perez! Thanks!

As for my choice, gotta go with nx01a and that colossal throwdown from JLA/Avengers #2!

Ravin' Ray. Pérez was a master of putting design elements and people onto the page. Here he just used some very few ones, to great effect.
