The other thread in this forum has got me thinking - if Lois Lane is not an option who should Superman be linked with romantically? I'm very much interested to see who others think is the best option of those I've picked for this poll (or a write-in choice). I've listed the choices in alphabetical order not those of personal preference.
PS I think Wonder Woman would be best.

I'd go with Lana. Particularly New 52 Lana.
Though Apollo & Midnighter are a pretty strong proof of concept for Superman/Batman. I think Midnighter is probably a lot better in a relationship that Bruce could ever be.Last edited by Yoda; 03-02-2019 at 12:56 PM.

Lana Lang. But mostly because of Smallville. Supergirl made Cat Grant seem weird because of the visual age difference. Would make Cat seem like a cougar. (Which I guess is technically a cat)
Wonder Woman with anyone other than Steve Trevor just seems wrong. Never got a gay vibe off of Clark or Bruce so I don't see that one. Maxima comes off as a stalker. So Lana Lang by default.

Wonder Woman (whether Lois is an option or not) but as I've said before, it would be good to see other love stories told in the modern Superman Universe with other characters like Maxima, Lori Lemaris, Lyla Lerrol, etc ... and some entirely new characters altogether

Anti-trinity-shipper here. All three are way more like siblings than paramours to me.
Lana ... it should be my vote, but she's just too safe. Why even leave Smallville then?
Maxima ... not a fan. Whole concept needs a revamp.
Cat Grant is very interesting. And very un-safe. If Lois' attitude is off-putting to some readers, how much more so is Cat? I like that she is traditionally older than Clark. And I liked that from the start Cat always had a thing for Clark, not Superman.
Cat Grant gets my vote here.

As an interesting aside. I find it refreshing how users in this subforum are more open to a possible LGBTQ pairing for Clark whereas when I floated such an AU (alternate universe) option for Peter in the Spider-Man Subforum (all be it half-jokingly) I was met with great hostility. Just an observation I felt like sharing make of it what you may.
