How would you make Cyclops cool?

I always liked that Scott just wasn't cool. He's just sort of a nerd and a stick in the mud. That's just him.

If you want him to be more popular, then he simply needs to be on more big teams.

I wonder if he will sometime in the future become a uncanny avenger telling Steve to #@*"'*#!! himself at team meetings and shutting him down each time he tries to get in a word or tries to start on a speech.
