I was trying to do too much and not doing any of it as well as I could. But I've had a change of mind... though not everyone shall enjoy it. I will.

oh ok I stand corrected. I thought his thing was only to freeze things. I guess it would make sense he would able to do the opposite. But based on the last scan you showed reversing from ice to water seemed to be more taxing to him. It would appear it would require more energy to do a phase change from solid to liquid and then to vapor which is probably why he doesn't use that option often and just goes for freezing stuff. This would definitely align to chemistry as I believe the enthalpy required for phase changes is higher when converting liquid to gas than it is changing solid to liquid.

Well, he's done it more casually lately

If he can already casually convert solids to gas, then converting liquid to gas won't strain him. Normally it goes from ice>water>vapor
Enthalpy of Sublimation (solid to gas) >>> Enthalpy of vaporization (liquid to gas) >>> Enthalpy of Fusion (Solid to liquid).
He already has the required energy.
Yes I agree with the science. Though the scans where he reabsorbs the armor is questionable that it's actually vapor or if it just weird artist rendering, has he ever done so to the level shown in the preview with all that water? Assuming that you are correct in your assessment of the panel, the amount of water he is turning to vapor is still no where near the amount he would have to do with the water in this preview. One could argue it would require less energy to do what he did versus trying to vaporize it all. Not saying he couldnt just that if he can do it a different way without exhausting himself why not?.

thanks for additional reference. I've acknowledged I was incorrect about the freezing/unfreezing part but I'm still inclined to think him unfreezing liquid to solid especially large quantities of water would require more energy since he doesnt normally do it. and as del torro pointed out the energy to do so is higher than what is required to freeze objects or moisture. but this does explain things much better. again thanks.
