Havok's X-Factor costume was everything bad about the 90s in one design. Headgear? Check. Needless pouches? Check. Oversized jacket? Check. Weird leg bands? Check. Fingerless gloves? Check. Oversized X? Check. It was ridiculous how overly complicated it was and different artists kept adding unnecessary elements to make it worse.

His best costume came in the 00s

Great update to his classic look with a modern feel

^^^i liked that Havok look a lot.

Me, I was a huge fan of Wolverine’s Sh’iar costume...:

It was his first time out of the classic yellow, it showed his face (unique for him at the time), and was just more savage-y.
John Byrne hated drawing it though, and got rid of it as soon as he could!

These only look like the same costume. Stroman’s original design is not spandex, or even color blocked like a traditional superhero costume. The one on the right lacks the confidence to recreate Stroman’s unconventional ideas so it falls back onto tropes, like the weird yellow thigh belts and fingerless gloves.

I’d love to see Stroman return to an X-Book and let him run wild.

God I miss the modern Havok costume. It's very TRON, but in a good way.

Might be more accurate to say I hate the old Havok design. Can't take it seriously. He looks like the Ringer.

These...kitty cat costumes were just awful. ‘Nuff said...:

This was a nice, laid back look for Cypher. I dug it...:

I hated the knees but other than that they were a good design. The color scheme didnt work for most of the characters though and could have been altered to reflect the individual character

Cypher's is awesome. It feels very Star Wars-esque

Maybe if I go back and look at these costumes in action, i’ll Appreciate them more. I’m going off my first impression after all...!

Now that you mention the Star Wars vibe, I can see it!

I rather this costume than the pre-AvX one where he looked like the Shocker.

I really like the 00s look. I hated it when he got back to the original look in Uncanny Avengers.

I thought that the ANXF costumes were unique at the very least.

I’m hoping you were going for a pun here because I “DOUG” the new look as well. Lol
