IIRC...that was the unstable molecules....when human it had pants...when armored it showed off his bare metal legs. Same with Wolfsbane's costumes....when wolfed out it would minimize down to an unnoticeable collar or some such.

Yeah, and that was silly.

Colossus very very rarely has a good looking costume, and his best official one in the comics to date is probably the Phoenix five one. Gold and red to accent his metal form is a good aesthetic.

But tbh he just needs to not bother with a shirt at all and wear some tactical pants. Fits the bill of showing off his mutation clearly for the page and makes more sense than wearing some sort of shoulderpad vest no sleeves nonsense that somehow inexplicably doesn’t connect to his pants. Or pants with holes. Or underwear and boots with no pants.

For all the time with kitty you think she would have given him some fashion advice by now.

I think 1 and 5 look pretty good. It’s about time she moved out of that stupid trainee uniform, she’s led the X-Men and for some reason is still in that costume.

Back to Ms Pryde, I’m SO easy...just give me a refill red version of the training suit or Kate the Red to her Shadowcat blues and I’m freakin x-static. Perfect casual and battle outfit combo.

Cause they're overwrought and only look good rendered by a specific artist. Stroman has an eye for design, in that all the X-Factor costumes could PROBABLY translate to real life.
