I think this is going to be outstanding!
Ooooh, so we’re skipping to ‘62! That’s interesting.
So excited to see Fegredo back. He’s my second favourite mignolaverse artist.
Thanks for sharing.
Looks dope. Dig how the malleability of "Hellboy and the BPRD" means Mignola can return to these little one and done Hellboy stories even after the main series has ended.
Can't wait.

Looks magnificent! I can't wait! And I love that it is set in 1962!
I'm hoping to see Hellboy in some some more bell bottoms.
Here's a preview. This is apparently two short stories. The preview is one of them in full.

Out next week.
That was one of the best single issues of Hellboy ever.
This was a true return to form, bringing back memories of those early shorts I loved so much!
Nothing against Chris Roberson, but Hellboy is just better when Mignola is the real driving force of the story as evidenced here in this fantastic one shot. We learn of some murders, we get a moody scene of Hellboy in the ruins of a castle, a monster shows up, Hellboy gets knocked around a lot while trying to punch the monster only to be saved by a timely intervention. Is it a little simplistic and formulaic? You bet...but contrary to popular belief those descriptors are not always synonymous with bad. For a case in point I give you chocolate chip cookies: they are a simplistic treat that follows a tried and true formula and while in the wrong hands that recipe can lead to bland cookies it can lead to an amazing treat for your taste buds with enough care...and that's what Mignola delivers here. Sure we've seen Hellboy punch loads of monsters but with the right pacing and a tantalizingly brief back ground that tugs at your imagination each event is unique. Hopefully with the main stories in the BPRD and Hellboy both done we'll see more involvement like this from Mignola.
Yes, this was a wonderful issue. At this point I only pick up the Mignola issues of this series, and this didn't disappoint.
