    By the by, Jack starred in Pete Kelly’s Blues from 1955 (which he also directed) where he played a jazz player being strong armed by a gangster. Cool!

    And his first wife was Julie London, who did do mostly sultry jazz ballads. Her second husband was jazz musician Bobby Troup. They were later both featured on the 1970s show Emergency, which was produced by......Jack Webb!
