Is Jonathan Hickman taking over?

I don’t remember a single Avengers character he developed.

Sunspot went from minor X-men character to leader of the Avengers and main responsible for ending AIM as a threat. Cannonball became a husband and father. Hyperion (granted, a creation of his) had a good arc as well.

T'challa and Namor were well developed in NA as well.

It should be focused on Magneto.

Ehhhh Cannonball's arc was a big meh imo. He did do very good work with Berto though, no doubt. This picture I posted a while back does nail how big a role each character played in his run

That would be awesome. I honestly think Erik is the single most dynamic character in the X-books. If he plays a big role (or the biggest role), I'll be camping out to buy these books

eh, i don't know. Magneto is fine, i just don't like him being on the x-men. i like him as a villain. if hickman wants to make him an amazing villain again, i wouldn't complain

I want a mass culling where they kill and retire every character created after the y2k

i disagree. i want to see a huge arc that focuses on the essential characters. I want to see scott and logan interact with jean. realistically, scott, logan, jean and storm are the most popular and important x-characters to the mythos. why shouldn't they get a mojority of the spotlight. having said that, i'm not agaionst other characters getting love either, but to quote dwight shcrute, you put your best beets up front

Hickman basically writes for male heroes, so bye bye Jean and Ororo getting anything good out of this.

The Illuminati and most of the Avengers were Bendis hand-me-downs and he made that much less white, so there is no way to tell what characters he would choose to focus on now that he can just start from scratch. Maybe wait until tomorrow for covers.

Wolverine and Cyclops were killed and just came back, they also are on a whole different universe and people still complain.
some people will never be happy
also is not their fault other characters are not important.

Yeah, we had 4 years without Cyclops and 5 without Wolverine and people are still complaining. There were plenty of chances for other characters in this mean time, and the books did not get any better without them.

Well those years were ass, so if you had a Scott or Logan hate boner or whatever, then logically the line getting better again the moment they come back should actually make you madder.

Of course it's a long time, there were hundreds of X-men issues in between. Also, Tyke was certainly not Cyclops anymore than Nate Grey is Cable (granted, OML was mostly Logan, but he didn't have that much focus).

Tyke lost any promise he had in the X-books a long time ago, no one should point to him when the question of Scott’s absence is raised.
