You need to go back to 2011/2012 when Spencer was bullied off of Ultimate X-Men by fans, rather than get promoted to the main deal like his Ultimates colleague.

That's a shame, I think Spencer is a wonderful writer. His Ultimate X-Men run was very good and Morning Glories is one of my favorite comics of the past few years. I think he and Hickman together would be a killer combo on the X-books.

Marvel doing house ads hyping up the return of a creator as if they're Christ like DC's "Imao Bendis is about to bust" promotion and then saving the announcement for a big panel at a con over the Eternals would be something else. The last time they made this big of a stink with the announcements of announcements and whatnot was what? Fantastic Four coming back?

But it would be a very Marvel thing to do. They love to screw with the fans and do the whole misdirect thing.

What I'm really think about is that Marvel's original plan for Uncanny X-men relaunch last year was Hickman, but something got wrong and they were forced to find an alternative, so Disassembled and Age of X-man were just a fill-in before the real thing.

Agreed. This feels like that period when Lobdell came back between Claremont and Morrison 20 years ago.

I kinda hope not. My interest in X-Men is mostly due to the female chars.

Hmm, so they are setting up EvX : Eternals Vs Xmen to prop up the Eternals before their movie comes out
