So we have a pretty clear delineation on when post-Crisis Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman became their post Crisis counterparts, but which books have a harder time of doing that? Like, when is All-Star Squadron, Infinity Inc., Firestorm, etc. officially “Post-Crisis”?

Another thing—did anyone really have that hard of a time differentiating the different Supermen/Batmen/Wonder Women? Or does that excuse just come off as cheap and lazy in order to make their publishing line more like Marvel’s shared universe? I started reading comics at the age of 3, and I had just turned 6 when the Crisis had finished, and the “New Earth” era began, and I can say I wasn’t that confused by their multiverse. It made it richer, and made my imagination that much more developed thinking their could be other universes out there, and there could be multiple copies of me as well.

Not including the O’Neil/Neal Adams run, what are some amazing GL stories from this era?

Born in 1971, it's of course the Bronze Age for me. DC, forget all that silly Golden and Silver Age stuff and finally give us Bronze Age Omnibuses of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Flash and the Legion of Superheroes!

I remember liking the Englehart/Staton run a lot as a kid.

The Bronze Age had a nice balance where you could find something for everybody.

You could have serious stories without dragging the book or characters down.
And you could have fun stories without a fear of being looked at cross-ways.
    You are probably right.

If there were an Olympics for pre-COIE DC, the Bronze would be the top prize, not the Gold.

I’ve got that, and really enjoy it. I think I like the Wolfman/Staton run a little bit more though. Wish he could have stayed on this, and Action a little bit longer though. Instead of leaving to do Crisis.

Before there was Year One, Len Wein, John Byrne, and Jim Aparo gave us the definitive Batman origin story with The Untold Legend of the Batman.

Anyone reading/collecting books from this era? I just purchased a large lot of Bat books from this timeline. Batman 332-355, and ‘Tec 499-522.

Bronze for me, but I also wanted to read the Golden Age stuff, and that’s where the 100 page issues came into their own... Still got loads of them, Justice League, Superman Family, etc
Also the oversized treasury editions, shame they don’t still do them, but at today’s prices, they’d probably be at least $20.

The Superman vs. Wonder Woman treasury edition is one of my prized possessions.

One thing I miss is the annual JLA/JSA annual crossovers. Some incredibly fun stories happened because of that. Something we’ve been missing from the DCU since the Crisis.
