There is no shame in being poor. However, there is no excuse for dressing poorly.

I put whisky in my tea from time to time. Especially after a long winter walk.

Scotch is horrible, it is like drinking burnt motor oil. The Idea of an "acquired taste" it that you beat down our taste buds so that you can be on of the cool kids that say "you just don't get it" when other people say it taste like what was left over after an industrial fire. I know that everone has has their preference and that the cheep stuff ( like Dewar’s) can really turn some off but I've has $200 plus bottles and I still had to choke it down.

Why get a 200 dollar bottle of something you know you won't enjoy?

And a general question...is whisky generally spelt whiskey in USA? (In UK, whisky is the Scottish product, with whiskey being the Irish version.)

I didn't buy it but was offered a drink, and didn't turn it down.

The whis"key" is the common spelling in the US for all types

Lol. That was a process that often led me to disaster in my distant youth.
