Why particularly only TPBs 1 and 2?

I put the Simonson Thor omnibus in high regard.
    Beautifully done by Steve Oliff.

    And the X-Men Mutant Genesis 2.0, X-Men #1-7 by Claremont/Lobdell/Byrne/Lee.

I own the 1993 "Topps Comics" edition of the comic adaptation of Francis Ford Coppola's movie Bram Stoker's Dracula, drawn by Mike Mignola, just before his own Hellboy. Lately, Dark Horse re-released the comic in black & white followed by a recolored edition. I saw it in store, and I was amazed by the recolored work. I had too much comics already, so I left it there, but I'll probably buy it on Friday!

The Turtles were completed in the hardcover The Works series. There's also the Akira coloured comics, but I'm happy enough with the recent black and white release.

My strongest recommendation goes to the Bone comics. One of the greatest comics, in my view, and the colours really add to the vibrancy of the stories.

I prefered the Sandman recolouring to the original.

Me too! More vibrant colours - looks like the original colours are that way because of print limitations from the end of the 80s, not the intended way maybe (?)

I've found half the run for dirt cheap in a shop recently. I wasn't planning to upgrade but when I've flipped through these trades it really hit me how much the colours add to it.
Now I just have to find the rest.

I usually love the original, muted colours of older series but in this case I definitely agree.

The Canadian branch of Scholastic released three hardcover volumes of the coloured Bone comics. They are about the same size as most Marvel/DC tpbs, which is bigger than I think any of the other Bone collected editions.
