Default Hitch Leaving Hawkman after issue 12

He has been tweeting about it today. He was only supposed to do a couple of issues to begin with. That became 6 and then became twelve which wraps up the origin story.

I haven't seen anything about who the new artist is gonna be. I don't even know who I'd like to see on the book.

I've been enjoying the series and obviously Hitch's art is a huge draw. (No pun intended) I hated him on JLA but his Hawkman art has been great.

Hoping this is entirely because he has some other project he wants to do and not DC trying to save money on production by getting an artist with a reduced page rate. I know the book isn't killing it in sales, but it's a damn fun read.

Venditti is still writing it at least. I can't think of anyone I want to see on the book. Is Jim Cheung exclusive to marvel?

I'd say this for any book, but get Evan Shaner!

He said he has two new books coming this year.

Hitch did 12 great issues! I'll miss him. Really glad that the book is continuing, though.

Cheung did a few issues of Snyder's JL. Not sure if he's still supposed to be on that.

I hope this doesn't mean people will start speculating about him writing & drawing a new Justice Society of America series again!

WARNING: That was back in 2017!

I'm sad to see him go, but he actually stayed longer than I expected. 12 issues is a great run for a major artist these days.
I don't know if Will Conrad is the new regular or just filling in, but he's a solid choice and will probably maintain the book's aesthetic.

I’ll take Hitch on JSoA, but as artist only.

Hitch is gearing up to take BATMAN. Calling it.

I enjoy the heck out of the wild Hawkman book, but I hope someone a little more stylized takes over.

I wouldn't mind if he remained the main artist going forward. I loved his work on Cyborg.
