Teen Titans Poll I: Favorite Members (1966-1978)

Who are your favorite new additions to the Teen Titans during the era specified? The poll is multiple choice, so I'd love to hear who you chose and why. I'll be doing this for all the main era's of the Teen Titans franchise, similar to the JSA/JLA threads floating around.

Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Wonder Girl, Speedy, & Lilith

Ironically, it's the same six that were in the most recent Titans book. However, I didn't care for the writing in that book or most of the characterization but I loved the members he chose.

Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Aqualad and Lilith. The first three have simply always been favorites of mine. Aqualad's evolution to Tempest and Lilith becoming a powerful psi, made those two much more interesting to me.

As a suggestion, it might be simpler to do your list in the order of the characters either joining or first appearing (in published stories), in which case it should have started with

* Kid Flash
* Aqualad
* Robin
* Wonder Girl
* Speedy

Also, instead of an "Other" option, you probably would have been better off specifying "Beast Boy / Changeling", the only member of "Titans West" I don't see on your list.



By allowing an "Other" option, you can easily have people choosing that and complaining you didn't include people like Starfire, Cyborg, or Raven. Yeah, they didn't join until AFTER 1978, but that doesn't mean people will actually READ your title / initial post before voting! (I had that happen several times in the JSA polls.)

A couple of minor nit-picks:
* Lilith wasn't "Omen" until many years later
* Joker's Daughter (Duela Dent) later changed her identity to "Harlequin"
* Bette was "Bat-Girl" with a hyphen (and was later retconned to"Flamebird" post-CoIE)

Anyway, good luck with all of this!

Yeah I screwed up the order of the Fab 5 but in my defence, DC lists Robin before Kid Flash. Donna should have been listed after Garth, and Roy after both... So my bad.

As for the codenames, well I included their future names as to not include them in future polls, just to give room for other characters on future polls. I'll include Beast Boy on the next poll, so thankfully nobody has asked where he (or Raven/Starfire/Cyborg) are.

Fab 5 plus Bumblebee, Duela Dent and Golden Eagle, for me.

I liked Lilith more recently, as Omen, but, back then, didn't really like her (or Hawk and Dove, or Gnarrk/Caveboy or Mal/Vox/Hornblower/Herald/Guardian/PickADamnNameAlready, and I didn't even remember that Batgirl/Betty Kane even existed...).

Voted Dick, Donna, Wally, Lillith and Karen.

I like Garth a lot more since he's become Tempest, and Lillith has always been my favorite of those who came after the Fab 5.

Unless you're carrying over choices, you can always keep this open and then do a Part II where you focus ONLY on members who joined in the 1980s+ that weren't already mentioned here (like Beast Boy/Changeling, then Cyborg, Raven, Starfire, etc.)
