One last thing before the news is out...

I'm kinda hoping it is some sort of a misdirection.

That said, a pair of limited series does sound exactly like something this writer would sign up for.

Accounting for that, wasn't their some talk of the "Ultimate" universe making a comeback a little while ago? That being the case would certainly line up with this writer and there being an "X"-related component.

Never mind that it would account for the copy in the ad.

Hopefully it's a Magneto or Acolytes book.

I was speaking to your point that the Eternals are obscure, not that they are confusing. That said, I don't think there are any Greco-Roman gods in the MCU to confuse a movie fan.

For a comic fan, I can see where it is confusing, especially with the Olympian pantheon being used more, and various retcons to fit the Eternals into the MU's history. But they aren't more confusing than the X-Men and their convoluted history.
Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?

Yeah, I couldn't imagine Hickman wanting to steer the ship on a whole line of books again. It's just too much.

I'm sure whatever these minis are, though, they'll be very cool. And I imagine that if there's two of them, they'll probably come out concurrently and compliment or mirror each other somehow.

Can't wait to hear the full announcement.

Well, I'd read Hickman even if they put him on "My Little Pony." I actually gave a high-pitched squeak when I turned the page and saw that "Hickman - July 2019" ad.

So whatever this is, I'm there.

    Confirmed at C2E2. It's X-Men.

Is it limited to 2 part limited series (each 6 issues) or is he also doing a ongoing?

So what is happening with Marvel? It seems like they are trying to make sense of some of their confused history.
