Now this was infinitely better than the first issue. I think in general all the second issues of the Age of X-Man series have been stronger than the first ones, but this has really gone from totally inane to quite enjoyable.

Some authors like to set the scene and the relationships before they launch into the story. I don't have a problem with that. I did like this one better, and regardless of the AU, Kurt is staying Kurt and trying to work within the rules.

Yeah, this is solid characterization for him. I like this take on Meg, as well, very much.

I wasn't 100% sure about picking up this second issue, but I'm glad I did.

That’s Lady Mastermind. My headcanon is that she was called up by Jean because she was still with the X-Men since they rescued her in Extraordinary. Mystique is probably either:

A) Legion trying to get Kurt to “wake up” or sumthn
B) Nate trying to test Kurt’s allegiance
