Guys i am a new comic book fan i like dc comics a lot. Recently i decided to buy dome comics and i really loved them but when i was reading i didnt know what had happened before so can you give some suugestions on where i should start reading. I am open to suggestions

I just started to read comics several months ago. tbh it would be so much reading to figure out everything that happened so i just picked up several highly rated arcs of characters i interested in (batman year one and some of geoff johns GL etc) and started to read rebirth anyway. After i catch up on the ongoing series i then go back to the main events listed above (and that's really a good list!).
This worked for me but if you are not into knowing the latest stuff like me, i suggest you go with the list

I completed the above list with a better segmentation of things, the parallax are of Green Lantern, suggestions for extra reading in the New52 Batman, some Batman Elseworld, Superman: Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrrow and some Shazam! recommendations.
I also updated the Hellblazer section with the various runs.
