Zac Efron will play Fred and Amanda Seyfried will play Daphne. No clue who will play Shaggy and Velma but I suggest Dave Franco and Anna Kendrick.

Shaggy has already been recast. He will be voiced by Will Forte, Matt Lillard didn't know he was being replaced. I assume that it will be news to Grey Griffin, and Frank Welker as well.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.

Unfortunately it's animated. Apparently, WB plans to renew or reboot Scooby and several other cartoons. I really don't like Zac Efron.

I guess I can kind of see them in those roles if we're going to have to have stunt-casting with this movie.
Efron reminds me of Robbie Amell playing Fred in that live-action origins movie.

I could understand these castings if it was live action
But animated it makes little to no sense

Well, it's a theatrical, nobody should have ever expected that the studio wouldn't do stunt casting no matter how much we fans would prefer the tv and DTV cast, it was just obvious they would recast, like it's obvious this will be 3D animated and not traditional animation, it's just what Hollywood does.
Who the hell is Amanda Seyfried anyways?
